Main Floor Living Area, Dining, Kitchen and Craft/Office Space

This picture was taken from the kitchen; behind the walls in the living room are two large bedrooms and a full bath. As you can see you have wide open spaces inside too.

~This main floor is our home and is actually the second floor and sits above all of the work areas. It is all open and bright and comfortable to be in. We have full open view windows mostly on the front face and kitchen side. The two matching bedrooms have one large window and one wide 'above bed' window in each. One bedroom should be for summer use and one used for the winter time. There really are only two seasons here - hot and cold. Adjoining the winter bedroom is the main floor bathroom/shower and vanity. Both bedrooms have large closets with installed shelving and organizer units and have matching tile floors. This whole main floor is 1' square ceramic quarry tile in brown with black grout. We laid every one ourselves and that includes the custom fired 50 square foot mural at the entryway in front of the window wall. A total of 2200 square feet of living space. In the winter we heat this tile floor with a radiant loop of hot water on two thermostat areas that allow us to walk around barefoot on warm tile that provides a constant room temperature. (with no blowing hot air system) Yet, in the summer we do survive well with a cold blowing Commercial "Master-Cool" swamp cooler that really works efficiently. And does not struggle to keep up - it beats the heat for sure.

This is the Listening Space, Basset Mission Style Oak Living room set. Artisan 6 1/2' floor lamp with matching dining room lamp. Both are one-of-kind. I would like to leave a lot of the furniture and art work. The house was decorated around an 10' X 5' tile mural of the hunt scene found in Nine Mile Canyon. The house also includes a six seating Thai fruitwood claw dining table.

This area is about 18' by 14'.

I love my kitchen; I have a Jenn-Air Stove, gas on top and electric oven with self cleaning. One side has a Bar-B-Que and rotisserie. There is a Jenn-Air refrigerator that sits flush with the cabinet; a Convection Microwave and 3/4 horse garbage disposable. The island makes a great place to serve buffet style parties on. All cabinet areas were designed by me and made with knotty elder. There is lots of storage space.

*This Kitchen space is about 22' by 14'.

This is our office space and it would make a great family dining area. The blinds you see in the picture are made from knotty elder, there are three front windows with this treatment. Easy to clean, nice looking and great light control into the front room.

Our local phone company is a DSL provider and we easily run 2 computers and receive calls at the same time. We have a dual system Directv service with no problems at all but the house is not wired for HDDVR yet. This craft and office space is about 8' by 20' and has two of the blinded windows with a view.

There are four picture windows facing Zion National Park and all it's beauty. This open entryway with mural is 24' by 10'.

Lets head down the hall to the 2 large bedrooms and full bath. From your pillow to the kitchen counter and coffee is over 70'.

The hallways are hidden behind the living room wall. Just had to have more places to hang art...There is a linen closet hidden in the hallway to the guest bedroom.

This is the guest room with a double organized closet. Above the closets, in both rooms on this floor, is a shelf for silk plants or what ever you desire to store there. The bed in the picture is a California King water bed.

This summer bedroom is 13' by 11' and the closet is 3' by 10'.

This is the larger bedroom on the main floor with bath attached. In this room is a queen size Select Comfort bed.

This Winter Bedroom is 13' by 14' and the closet is 3' by 10'.

It's really hard to take a picture of a bath room. So I have spliced two pictures together.

This bath is about 9' by 9'.

This huge home sits on a nearly 2 acre lot.
